Figurative
I'm often asked about what inspires me, what my art means. I generally begin with an intention. Then I follow the image as it emerges. That's the intuitive part. In my figurative work, I want to reveal vulnerability, raw emotion. Every person's life is worth a novel. I catch a moment, in the story, here or there that reflects the struggle, the joy of overcoming obstacles, a moment of awareness... It's the human experience, the loud & the quiet, the raw & the refined, the surprising new & the comforting old. We're constantly reinventing ourselves. It's enlivening.
