Abstract
A mark made inspires my imagination and drives a curiosity following intuition. This glorious curiosity reveals emerging images & finally a finished piece of art. A thing that has no words wells up inside of me capturing an intuitive impulse which I then follow. Meaning follows the mark. The title suggests the story. This collection and the marks I made early on were inspired by poetry, life challenges, the old giving way to the new revealing footprints of courage & resilience: wabi sabi of the soul.
